Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction
Welcome to ALIF ("فِل أ") ("we," "our," or "us"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern
your use of our WhatsApp-based platform, services, and any interactions with ALIF, including
but not limited to our project documentation, receipt capture, expense tracking, and related
services in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
ALIF is a WhatsApp-native documentation platform built for the construction industry in Saudi
Arabia. Contractors, project managers, supervisors, and property owners can capture, track,
and manage all project expenses — no app downloads, no spreadsheets, no complexity.
By accessing our platform, using our services, or contacting us through any channel (including
WhatsApp, phone, or email), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to
these Terms, please do not use our services.

3. Services Provided
ALIF provides the following services:
• Receipt capture and AI-powered data extraction via WhatsApp (photo, text, or manual
entry)
• Bank transfer documentation from screenshots, PDFs, and SMS messages
• Automated project log with construction phase tagging and GPS location
• AI-powered construction phase prediction (Foundation, Structure, MEP, Finishing)
• Default payer logic and smart categorization
• Delivery note capture and matching
• Monthly PDF project reports delivered via WhatsApp

• Team delegation via contact card sharing with Arabic voice tutorials
• Guard role for delivery note photography (no cost or pricing access)
• Dual approval workflow (delegate confirms → project manager approves)
• Labor and equipment capture with duration tracking
• Self-correction tools for submitted entries
• Encrypted private vault for sensitive project documents
4. Service Agreements
4.1 Subscription Tiers
ALIF offers three subscription tiers: Free, Pro, and Business. Each tier provides different levels
of access to platform features. Pricing may vary based on the tier and services selected, and
will be communicated at the time of subscription.

Subscription fees are billed monthly or annually as selected at the time of subscription. All fees
are exclusive of applicable VAT unless otherwise stated. Pricing details will be confirmed at the
time of subscription and may be updated from time to time with notice.
4.2 Free Tier Limitations
The Free Tier is limited to 2 active projects with a maximum duration of 12 months per project.
No team delegation is available on the Free Tier. Once a project is archived, it may not be
reactivated without upgrading to a paid tier.
4.3 Platform Accuracy
ALIF uses artificial intelligence (OCR and LLM technology) to extract data from receipts,
transfers, and documents. While we strive for high accuracy, AI-generated outputs — including
extracted amounts, supplier names, phase predictions, and payer assignments — are provided
as suggestions and must be reviewed and confirmed by you before they are committed to the
ledger. Nothing is auto-committed without your approval.

ALIF is a project documentation tool, not an accounting firm, tax advisor, or auditor. You should
consult qualified professionals for advice specific to your business.
4.4 Service Availability
ALIF operates through WhatsApp Business API and is dependent on third-party infrastructure
including Meta (WhatsApp) and Google Cloud. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free
access. Scheduled maintenance, updates, and circumstances beyond our control may result in
temporary service interruptions.
5. Payment Terms
Payment terms are as follows:
• Subscription fees are charged in advance on a monthly or annual billing cycle
• Payment methods accepted: bank transfer, or as agreed through the platform
• All prices are in Saudi Riyals (SAR) unless otherwise stated
• Late or failed payments may result in suspension of paid tier features until payment is
received
• You may upgrade your tier at any time with prorated billing
• Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing cycle
6. Customer Responsibilities
As a user of ALIF, you are responsible for:
• Providing accurate information during registration and project setup
• Submitting authentic, unaltered receipts, transfers, and project documents
• Reviewing and confirming AI-extracted data before it is committed to the ledger
• Managing delegate and guard access to your projects responsibly
• Ensuring that team members you invite comply with these Terms
• Maintaining the security of your WhatsApp number and account
• Reporting errors promptly using the self-correction feature
• Obtaining any necessary permits or approvals for your construction projects
• Notifying us promptly of any issues, unauthorized access, or concerns
7. User Roles and Access
ALIF supports the following user roles, each with specific permissions:
• Project Manager (PM): Full control over projects. Creates projects, manages team,
approves or rejects all submissions, and receives reports.
• Delegate: Authorized to submit receipts and transfers on behalf of a PM. Input-only
access. Receives a 15-second Arabic voice tutorial upon onboarding.

• Guard: Photo-only role. Captures delivery note photographs only. No access to project
costs, ledger, or pricing information.
• Owner: View-only access to project data via QR code scan. May operate under a
separate subscription.
Users must not attempt to access data or features beyond the permissions of their assigned
role. Any attempt to circumvent role restrictions is a violation of these Terms.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
• Use ALIF for any illegal purpose, including money laundering, tax evasion, or fraud
• Submit falsified, forged, or misleading documents
• Attempt to circumvent access restrictions, role limitations, or subscription tier limits
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the platform or its AI models
• Interfere with or disrupt the platform’s infrastructure or WhatsApp integration
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit platform access without written authorization
• Use automated bots or scripts to interact with the platform beyond normal use
Violations may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without refund.
9. Limitation of Liability
ALIF shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising
from:
• Errors or inaccuracies in AI-generated outputs, including OCR extraction and phase
predictions
• Losses from reliance on platform-generated data without independent verification
• Service interruptions caused by WhatsApp, Google Cloud, or other third-party providers
• Unauthorized access to your account resulting from failure to secure your WhatsApp
number
• Data loss or corruption due to circumstances beyond our control
• Delays in service delivery due to circumstances beyond our control
Our total liability shall not exceed the total amount of subscription fees paid by you during the
twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or SAR 1,000, whichever is greater.
10. Intellectual Property
All content, technology, AI models, algorithms, extraction engines, phase prediction technology,
software, designs, trademarks, and trade secrets related to the ALIF platform are the property of
ALIF and protected by Saudi Arabian and international intellectual property laws. You may not
reproduce, distribute, or use our content or technology without written permission.
You retain full ownership of all data and documents you upload or generate through the
platform. By uploading content, you grant ALIF a limited license to process and store your

content solely for the purpose of providing our services. This license ends when you delete your
content or account, subject to our data retention obligations.
11. Communication Channels
We communicate with users through the following channels:

By registering on the platform, you consent to receive automated messages, notifications,
project reports, and service updates via WhatsApp. This includes AI-processed responses to
your submissions. You acknowledge that WhatsApp’s own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy
also apply to your use of WhatsApp in connection with ALIF.
12. Cancellation and Refunds
12.1 Account Cancellation
You may cancel your account at any time by sending a cancellation request through the
platform. Upon cancellation, your access to paid features will continue until the end of your
current billing cycle. After that, your account will revert to Free Tier access or be deactivated.
12.2 Refunds
Subscription fees are generally non-refundable. If you believe you have been incorrectly
charged, you must notify us within 14 days of the charge. Refund requests will be handled in
accordance with applicable Saudi Arabian consumer protection laws.
12.3 Data After Cancellation
Upon account cancellation, you will have 30 days to export your project data. After this period,
your data will be handled in accordance with our data retention and privacy policies.
13. Privacy and Data Protection
Your privacy is important to us. Key points about how we handle your data:
• We collect only your phone number and project name — minimal personal data
• All data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3)
• Encryption keys are managed through AWS Key Management Service
• All data is stored in Saudi Arabian data centers (Google Cloud KSA region) in
compliance with PDPA
• Project records are retained for 7 years in compliance with Saudi regulations
• Deleted data enters a 30-day soft-delete window before permanent removal
• You own your data from Day 1 and can export it in CSV or Excel format at any time
• AI processing (OCR and vision) runs within Saudi data centers

ALIF may use anonymized, aggregated data (with all identifying information removed) for
analytics and service improvement. You may opt out of analytics participation at any time. By
using our services, you consent to our data handling practices as described here.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Any disputes arising
from these Terms or our services shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith
negotiation for a period of 30 days. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to binding
arbitration in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in accordance with the Saudi Arbitration Law.
15. Changes to Terms
ALIF reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be communicated via
WhatsApp message to your registered phone number and will be effective upon delivery. Your
continued use of our services after changes are communicated constitutes acceptance of the
modified Terms.

17. Acceptance
By registering on ALIF, using our services, or submitting information through WhatsApp or any
other communication channel, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to
be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

These Terms and Conditions are provided in English. If you require an Arabic translation or
have questions about any section, please contact us for clarification.
